Album of photographs, circa 1890s and early 1900s


Oblong folio (315 x 370mm.), 50 photographs (from 80 x 100 to 225 x 280mm., or the reverse), 4 with the blindstamp of Lambert & Co., 6 postally used real photograph postcards, various processes including albumen prints and silver prints, some being later prints, twentieth-century dark blue cloth, upper cover with gilt initials "G.B.", some images faded, spine slightly worn, corners bumped, slightly rubbed


A good album of portraits and views showing scenes of Singapore (St Andrew's church, Collyer Quay, Boat Quay, North Bridge Road, Market View), Indonesia (Group of Battaks, Street view with group of Klings), India (natives from Bhotan), views of Medan (including the sultan's palace), and people of Burma.
