8vo (154 x 114mm.), 37 albumen print cartes-de-visite by various photographers and studios, displayed recto and verso in thick card mounts with printed gold borders, contemporary pebble grain red roan, elaborate pair of gilt metal clasps and catches, red edges decorated with gold stars, some fading to images, some mounts torn, some images faded, occasional dust-stains to mounts, binding slightly rubbed

A good collection of cartes-de-visite, mostly of Indian sitters, together with portraits from Southeast Asia and Africa (including Zanzibar).
