Album of photographs: "Souvenir de voyage", circa. 1880


Oblong folio (260 x 355mm.), 49 albumen prints (205 x 270mm., or the reverse), mounted on card, recto only, each captioned in ink in French on the mount, contemporary black pebble-grain morocco, upper cover titled in gilt "Souvenir de Voyage / Algérie et Tunisie I / L.J.", gilt edges, some fading, first photograph with a little spotting


A good album of views in Algeria including Oran (4), Mers El Kébir, Tlemcen (3), Mansourah, Sidi Boudmediene (3), Blida (2), Algiers (11), Timgad (2), and Biskra and environs (10).
