Description

A Queen green and gilt japanned pier mirror, early 18th century

the pierced cresting and cushion frame with gilt-heightened Chinoiserie decoration on a green ground, the divided mirror plate with bevelled edge

152.5cm. high; 57cm. wide; 5ft., 1ft. 10½in.

Very decorative. The japanned surface later (first part 20th century) but well done. There is a small loss to the center of the cresting, this element is also slightly bowed. Mirror plates with attractive marks from age. Minir rubbing and losses to japanning.
