signed L Hunter (lower right)

oil on canvas

unframed: 51 by 61cm.; 20 by 24in.

framed: 67.5 by 76cm.; 26½ by 30in.

Executed in 1927-28.

We are grateful to Jill Marriner for her kind assistance with the cataloguing of the present work.

Original canvas. The work appears to be in very good overall condition. Some minor rubbing and abrasion to the framing edges. Some scattered specks of surface dirt and flecks of paint.

UV light inspection reveals some very minor spots of retouching to the lower left and lower right hand corners with a further spot above the fruit bowl. Some very minor touches to the framing edges and some tiny flecked retouchings to the blue background.

Held in a decorative frame.
