The bowl Momoyama - Edo period, 16^th - 17^th century 

the eight plates with raised rivets and three tier gilt and copper tehen kanamono, the mabisashi [peak] with silver rim, the large turnbacks with stenciled leather, the two tier shikoro [neck guard] with spaced lacing, the black lacquer mempo with detachable nose, gold lacquer details and domestic yak bristle moustache, red lacquer interior 

The bowl to peak: 30 cm., 11 ⅝ in. 

The shikoro to peak: 35.5 cm., 14 in.
