Souvenir throw-out card featuring the famed Alexander Herrmann [New York [?]: np, ca. 1894]


Throw-out card (83 x 63 mm). Printed on coated card stock, portrait of Herrmann to recto, bicycle rider back design to verso; a hint of handling wear. 


While we do not know whether or not this particular card has pierced the skin of a watermelon, one imagines that it took Ricky countless hours of practice, and all the cards within reach to perfect his signature trick. A wonderful chance to own a card from one of the premier card throwers of our time, featuring one of the premier card throwers of yore.
