This drawing is a copy after Carle van Loo's painting of the same subject, commissioned by Jean de Julienne and exhibited at the Salon of 1737 (fig. 1).1 It was engraved by Bernard Lépicié in 1748.

Ce dessin reprend la composition du tableau de Carle van Loo, commandité par Jean de Julienne et exposé au Salon de 1737 (fig. 1)1. Il fut gravé par Bernard Lépicié en 1748.
