each surmount designed as a stylised E and M, set with calibré-cut synthetic rubies, suspending a carved emerald drop, accompanied by a fitting allowing the two brooches to be worn together, two rubies deficient
Unsigned. Two rubies deficient (one on each brooch, near base of surmount). Emeralds with surface reaching inclusions, some wear around drill holes. Surmounts with some areas of solder and glue residues around some rubies. Rubies with some light surface wear, small cavities. Length of larger brooch approximately 48mm, width when both worn together approximately 55mm, gross weight approximately 36 grams. Condition commensurate with wear.
