The canvas is lined. Pigment separation in dark background area at upper left quadrant. Very fine craquelure on white canvas at center of composition and on the three figures. Under a yellowed, high gloss varnish. Under UV light, inpainting to address an L-shaped tear is visible in the chair at lower left; inpainting to address large E-shaped tear in leftmost figure's skirt; inpainting to dark background is masked by a green and opaque varnish.
