Last drunk at 15 years old. Spicy nose, obviously not as ripe as 1995. Cherries and cassis. Becomes sweeter on the nose the longer you leave it in the glass. Lots of rather appley acidity, but so many black fruits that it is carried. Sweet cherries on the palate. Smoky elements too. The fruit dominates, in the way that DRC can do this.
