This fountain called "Nasone" represents a public fountain symbolizing the city of Rome created in 1874. This model was extended to Campania and Tuscany.
Sotirios Voulgaris was born in Greece in 1857. In 1877, he moved to Corfu and then to Naples. In 1881, having italianized his name to Sotirio Bulgari, he opened a store in Rome. In 1905, with his two sons Costantino and Giorgio, he opened the store Via Condotti 10, nowadays a historical monument. From 1910, Sotirio expanded his portfolio to include jewelry. He died in 1932 in Rome.
Thanks to the Cinecitta studios, the seventh art clientele assiduously frequented the store, which was enlarged in 1934: Elizabeth Taylor, Marlene Dietrich, Clark Gable, Gary Cooper, Audrey Hepburn, Sophia Lauren, Romy Schneider, Gina Lollobrigida, Ingrid Bergman... In the 1970s, Bulgari opened stores in New York, Paris, Geneva and Monte Carlo. In 1984, Paolo and Nicola Bulgari, grandsons of Sotirio, took over the brand's presidency.
Cette fontaine appelée "nasone" représente une fontaine publique symbolisant la ville de Rome créée en 1874. Ce modèle fut étendu à la Campanie et à la Toscane.
Sotirios Voulgaris est né en Grèce en 1857. En 1877, il s'installe à Corfou puis à Naples. En 1881, ayant italianisé son nom en Sotirio Bulgari, il ouvre sa boutique à Rome. En 1905, avec ses deux fils Costantino et Giorgio, il ouvre la boutique du 10, via Condotti, aujourd'hui monument historique. A partir de 1910, Sotirio étend sa boutique à la joaillerie. Il s'éteint en 1932 à Rome.
