A Victorian Silver-Gilt Figural Standing Salt, Charles T. & George Fox, London, 1858
in Dutch 17th Century style, the stem modeled after Adam van Vianan of Utrecht, modeled as a figure of Summer supporting a basket of fruit and flowers on her head, a small basket on her right arm with sprig of flowers, on lobate domed base, engraved with a crest

This piece, or its pair is illustrated in John Culme, Nineteenth Century Silver, p. 166-7, where he notes that it was probably made for Lambert & Rawlings, London 1858/9. He also illustrates another pair of tazze with figures of summer and winter signed A.P. Viana. Fe. 1627. These Tazze are also illustrated in J.W. Frederiks Dutch Silver: Embossed Plaquettes, Tazze & Dishes, 1952, no. 58. pp 107-110 sold Duke of Hamilton sale, Christies, London 1919, 113, and thus possibly from the William Beckford collection.
