One side inscribed in white ink: "E. 400". Remains of an old label to the underside.

Height: 6 7/8 in (17.5 cm)

Good condition overall, with wear consistent with age and prolonged use. Some minor nicks, chips, scratches, and abrasions in places. An old break to the base, repaired initially in situ, with fiber binding, as visible in the catalogue illustration. The break was subsequently glued back together. (The point of the break is visible as a slight indentation in the catalogue illustrations; it can be seen slightly to the left of center in the first catalogue illustration). Four drill holes to the underside of the neckrest, two from a previous stand or mount, and two from the current metal base plate. Two small wedges of wood, their edges tinted to match the colour of the object, are pinned to the underside of the neckrest; they allow the neckrest to stand level, but are currently concealed by the metal base plate. One side of the neckrest inscribed in white ink: “E 400”, and the remains of an old paper label to the underside of the neckrest.
