oil on panel

unframed: 21.5 by 29cm.; 8½ by 11½in.

framed: 40 by 47cm.; 15¾ by 18½in.

The panel has been adhered to a backing board in a few places, possibly by the Artist. The panel is very slightly bowed. There is a fine horizontal crack extending from the left hand framing edge, approx. 5cm in length. Two minor chips to the left hand edge of the panel. Some light surface dirt. Otherwise the work appears to be in very good overall condition. UV light inspection reveals no evidence of any retouching or restoration. Held in a gold painted frame and white cloth slip.
