The rectangular stand with skirt enamelled with colourful scrolling foliage and raised on four bun feet fitted with two glass inkwells with silver-gilt and enamel slip-on covers, three sides with a railing hinged at each end supporting multicoloured enamelled candle holders, the back of the stand with pen-holders in the form of gryphons. Together with an enamelled pen, struck throughout with maker's mark PF in Cyrillic, 84 standard

Length with arms closed, 35.5cm, 14in.; with arms extended, 54.7cm, 21 1/2 in.

Good condition overall. Some of the finials with scattered re-touching. Small losses to some of the blue pellet border around the central reserve. The pen with a few small scattered chips. Surface scratching consistent with age and use.
