A silver-gilt icon of St Helena, Nikolai Grachev, Moscow, 1908-1917
the oklad repoussé and chased, the border with foliate design, in original fitted velvet surround applied with silver plaques engraved 'Father Sergei blessed the icon on 12-13 November 1911 [in Roman numerals]' at the top and 'Obey your father and your mother' at the bottom, struck to halo and lower edge of frame with maker's mark, 84 standard
