Six brooches, one by Castellani, and one ring

second half of the 19th century


Comprising: a brooch of circular outline designed as a flower, decorated with beading and rope twist detail in the Etruscan revival style, maker's mark for Castellani, 1870s; together with two additional circular brooches in a similar style, each with French assay marks; a ring of torque design, the ends modelled as ram's heads, size P1/2and three circular brooches composed of cannetille.

Juliet Adam, neé Palmer, (1857-1927) who was the wife of the diplomat Charles Fox Frederick Adam (1852-1913) and daughter of Commodore James Croxhall Palmer, (1811-1885), Surgeon General of the US Navy;
