Probably acquired by William, 12th Duke of Hamilton (1845–1895);
His daughter Lady Mary Louise (1884-1957), who married in 1906 James Graham (1878-1954), Marquess of Graham who in 1925 succeeded his father as 6th Duke of Montrose;
Thence by descent.
Probably at Brodick by 1918 with other works by Jacque at the Castle (see Poultry in a Landscape recorded in Valuation for Probate of the Contents of Brodick Castle [...] the property of the Arran and Easton Trustees, 1918).
