woodblock print, sumizuri-e, with hand-applied colour, signed in pencil in Japanese Shiko and in Roman script Munakata, sealed in red Hogan Munakata Shiko, and with artist's penciled pine needle and field chrysanthemum (nogiku) mark, n.d. [1959], framed and glazed; with woodblock printed certificate of authenticity (kanteisho) by the artist's son, Munakata Pariji (1934-1998), hand-numbered in Japanese script 6,209 and inscribed Munakta Shiko saku (made by Munakata Shiko), with two red seals, and signed Munakata Pariji
