'Waiting in the Forest - Cheyenne'

large-format photogravure on Japanese tissue, the printed caption, plate number, photographer's copyright, and printer's credit in the margin, tipped to the original cream wove mount and overmatted as issued, framed, 1910

image: 15 ¾ by 11 in. (40 by 27.9 cm.)

frame: 25 ½ by 20 ¾ in. (64.8 by 52.7 cm.)

Please note the color and shades in the online catalogue illustration may vary depending on screen settings. This lush photogravure is in generally excellent condition, with cream highlights and rich blacks. There are a few faint, scattered foxmarks and some pale yellow mottling in the margins, neither of which affect the appearance of this print. '218' is written in pencil in an unidentified hand on the mount. The original overmat is glued to the mount along the top edge. It is appropriately age-darkened and stained in a few places. 'Bangor Public Library, Bangor, Maine" is stamped on the reverse of the mount. On the reverse are several hinge remnants and faint foxmarks.
