Please note the color and shades in the online catalogue illustration may vary depending on screen settings. This photograph is in generally excellent condition. Polke often manipulated his prints, both chemically and physically. The scattered scratches, creases, and impressions are part of his working process and should not be considered condition issues. At the center, there is a 2-1/2-inch hairline scratch that appears to break the emulsion. There is some silvering as well as edge and corner wear. The paper has a gentle undulation at the lower edge. The reverse is soiled. Two hinge remnants are near the upper corners. '86300 KVMG' is written in pencil in an unidentified hand. A James Cohen Gallery label is on the reverse of the mat.
