Please note the color and shades in the online catalogue illustration may vary depending on screen settings. This early print, on paper with a surface sheen, is in generally excellent condition. When examined closely in raking light, the following are visible: a few thin scratches in the lower portion; and some minor silvering in the darkest areas. The mount measures 17 by 14 1/4 in. It is faintly age darkened at the periphery. There is some soiling including fingerprints and some stray marks, possibly graphite or crayon. There are scattered rust-colored deposits of various size, and some abrasions in the lower right corner. The edges and corners are gently bumped in a few places. The reverse of the mount is age-darkened at the edges. There is soiling and fingerprints overall, as well as a few deposits of indeterminate nature. When examined under ultraviolet light, this photograph does not appear to fluoresce.
