'Iris'

gelatin silver print, signed, titled, and dated in pencil on the reverse 1932

image: 10 by 8 in. (25.4 by 20.3 cm.)

Please note the color and shades in the online catalogue illustration may vary depending on screen settings. This early print, on double-weight paper with a nearly matte surface, is in generally excellent condition. Extremely faint swipes visible in raking light in the upper portion of the image suggest this photograph might have been coated. A few tiny deposits of original retouching are visible upon close examination. There is a very small transparent adhesion of indeterminate nature in the lower left corner. The photograph is trimmed to the image and there is minor edge chipping.
