image: 7 ⅞ by 10 ¼ in. (20 by 26 cm.)

Please note the color and shades in the online catalogue illustration may vary depending on screen settings. Grading this print on a scale of 1 to 10 – a 10 being a salt print that has rich dark brown tones and highlights that retain their original detail – this print rates a 9-10. The dark areas retain rich details in the darks, for example in the individual sprigs of grass. The highlights in the rocks in the foreground remain creamy, but those in the sky area are faintly yellow. The print is in generally excellent condition .When examined closely in raking light, tiny deposits of original retouching are visible. On the mount is scattered foxing overall. The lower left corner of the mount's upper paper-ply is lifting and ripped. On the reverse are some abrasions along the upper edge and foxing overall. '14549' is written in an unidentified hand in pencil.
