Palm Springs Art Museum’s Art Auction ’21 supports the museum’s exhibitions, collection, and educational programs, and is a unique opportunity to present artworks to our growing international community of collectors and supporters. A donation in the form of a purchase from you would have an enormous impact on our institution for the 2021 season and beyond, at a time when museums are struggling from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Palm Springs Art Museum recognizes the worldwide impact of COVID-19 on artists and their practices. As such, our museum is offering up to 50% of the hammer price from the sale of the artwork each artist has contributed.


Please be aware of the Conditions of Sale when bidding. As a benefit auction, there is no buyer’s premium charged. The only additional costs due to the winning bidder are applicable sales tax and shipping. Works auctioned are sold “as is,” and condition reports are included with lot descriptions as available.


Please note that while this auction is hosted on Sothebys.com, it is being administered by the Palm Springs Museum of Art, and all post-sale matters (inclusive of invoicing and property pickup/shipment) will be handled by the Museum. As such, Sotheby’s will share the contact details for the winning bidders with the Palm Springs Museum of Art so that they may be in touch directly post-sale.
