This epic romance was directed, written, co-produced, and co-edited by James Cameron. The cast includes Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. The film is based on the sinking of the R.M.S. Titanic in 1912, and focuses on the two lead characters who were from different classes, and who fall in love whilst onboard the ship during its fateful journey. This film won a total of eleven Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Director. The image at the helm of the ship of Kate Winslet with her arms outstretched, with Leonardo DiCaprio standing behind her, with his hands tightly holding her waist, is pure romance and embedded in many minds.
