Unframed: 30 x 40 in. (76 x 102 cm)

Mr. Sohal met Jane Champion at The Times BFI London Film Festival's screening of her film In the Cut, at the Odeon Leicester Square.

It is rare for anyone to have an original poster signed, as the majority of signatures are on pieces of paper, photographs, and video/DVD sleeves.

This film was written and directed by Jane Campion. The cast includes Holly Hunter, Harvey Keitel, Sam Neill, and Anna Paquin. This film is set in the mid-19th century and tells the story of Ada McGrath (Holly Hunter), an electively mute Scottish woman, whose father arranges a marriage for her to Alisdair Stewart (Sam Neill), a wealthy New Zealand landowner. Ada, her young daughter Flora (Anna Paquin), and her much-loved piano travel the long journey to the remote part of New Zealand and their new life. Life is not what she had thought it would be with her new husband. On arrival, Alisdair informs her that there isn't room in their modest house for her piano, and so leaves it abandoned on the beach, and sells it to his neighbour George Baines (Harvey Keitel). Ada is determined to get her piano back, and an agreement is finally reached that George will give it back in exchange for some land and piano lessons from Ada. There begins their relationship and slow seduction. This film won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival, making Jane Campion the first and only female director to-date to have received this award. The film also won three Oscars - Best Actress for Hunter, Best Supporting Actress for Paquin, and Best Original Screenplay for Campion.
