This film was written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, and is an adaptation of the 1992 novel, Rum Punch, by Elmore Leonard. The film stars Pam Grier in the title role, together with Samuel L. Jackson, Robert Forster, Bridget Fonda, Michael Keaton, and Robert De Niro. Stewardess Jackie Brown smuggles money from Mexico to Los Angeles for arms dealer Ordell Robbie (Samuel L. Jackson). After she gets caught, she gets offered a freedom deal in exchange for information to help with the arrest of Ordell. However, Ordell wants to get rid of Jackie, and so arranges her bail through Max Cherry (Robert Forster), who runs a bail bond business. Jackie realises Ordell's plans and thinks up a complicated plan with Max to steal half a million dollars from Ordell.
