This animated musical was directed by Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff. The songs were composed by Elton John and lyrics written by Tim Rice, with a score by Hans Zimmer. The voice cast includes Matthew Broderick, James Earl Jones and Jeremy Irons. The film tells the story of Simba, a young lion prince, who will one day be king. However, his bitter uncle has other ideas. This film won two Oscars - Best Music, Original Song for Elton John (music) and Tim Rice (lyrics) for the song 'Can You Feel the Love Tonight', and Best Music, Original Score for Hans Zimmer.
