bronze

41.9cm., 16½in.

Overall the condition of the bronze is very good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There are original joints around both knees. There is a small lacuna to the back of the neck. There is a hole, probably for mounting, in the top of the base, and another small hole to the proper right inside elbow. There is a minor original fissure in the proper left side of the head. There was a black lacquer to the surface which has been removed, but survives in some crevices. There are a few spots of green, including to the upper back and proper right arm, and to the chest. There are a few further very minor casting flaws. There are a few small original plugs, including behind the proper right leg. There is some wear to the high points of the hair. There are a few spots of red at the scrotum.
