An allegory of poverty

Black, white and red chalk on grey-green paper

Occasional very minor foxmarks and a series of black marks that are scattered around the (mainly) right hand side of the sheet. There is a small area at the lower edge of the sheet where the paper tone appears to have lightened somewhat. This can be seen in certain lights. The work has not been examined out of its frame.
