folio (293 x 205mm.), illuminated manuscript on vellum, 27 leaves, first verso with miniature of the family kneeling before the Virgin and Child in a landscape with illuminated borders, headings in gold on coloured grounds, final leaf with a full-page manuscript armorial (by a rather less accomplished artist), contemporary vellum wrapper with stubs of blue silk ties, lead seal (70mm. diameter) with the arms of Philip II and a seated portrait of him, occasional light soiling, illuminated page slightly rubbed at foot, wrapper slightly soiled and worn
