Chancery folio (288 x 203mm.), 347 leaves (of 348, without final blank), a-b8 c10 d8d e-h10 i8 k10 l-q8r r s-v u-z10 [et]8 [con] [rum]10 A8 B10 C8 D-G10 H8 I6, double column, 55 lines plus headline, gothic type, engraved portrait of Gregory pasted to verso of flyleaf, later vellum, some early annotations, sewing guards from an Italian twelfth-century liturgical manuscript, front flyleaf slightly soiled and repaired, first leaf repaired, small hole in c7, headlines cut close, a few small marginal repairs, a few small stains, strip at foot of penultimate leaf excised, final leaf slightly frayed, binding slightly soiled, spine slightly torn
