each with a sinuous crest rail with protruding upturned ends and supported on a curved back splat, the serpentine armrests supported by 'S'-curved and straight posts, the latter adorned with with shaped spandrels and continuing to the circular-sectioned front legs, the mat seat set in a rectangular moulded frame above plain beaded aprons, the legs joined by plain stretchers and a footrest

The armchairs are in good overall condition. One armchair has a polished section to the reverse of the headrest and a repair/replacement to one small spandrel below the armrest.
