The work is executed on board which is providing a sound support. The work appears to be in very good overall condition. Some localised areas of very fine craquelure. Some minor instances of surface marks and abrasions, notably in the lower portion of the work. A few very minor flecks of old loss some of which have been retouched. Some specks of surface dirt and studio matter. Some minor abrasion to the framing edges.
UV light inspection reveals a thick layer of surface varnish and some minor scattered specks of retouching some of which are visible to the naked eye upon close inspection.
Held in a simple wooden frame.
