We are grateful to Dr Wendy Baron for her kind assistance with the cataloguing of the present work.

The original canvas. The work appears to be in good overall condition.

A fine craquelure pattern across the surface. Some rubbing and abrasion to the framing edges with some minor specks of associated loss. Some surface dirt, specks of matter and studio detritus.

UV light inspection reveals some spots of retouching notable to the sky and to the water along the lower edges of the canvas.

Held in a gilt wooden frame.
