The original canvas. The work appears to be in very good overall condition.

There are areas of fine craquelure and paint seperation to the dark purple pigments. Some further lines of craquelure and seperation to the dark brown pigment lower centre left. There are some scattered specks of surface dirt, surface matter and studio detritus.

UV light inspection reveals a sport of retouching to the left hand lower edge.

Held in a painted white frame and under glass.

Please contact Thomas Podd on thomas.podd@sothebys.com if you have any further questions regarding the present work.
