Condition:

This work is in overall good condition. The canvas is not lined. There are light abrasions to the extreme edges and some associated minor paint loss to the lower extreme edge, and a few scuffs to the lower right vertical edge. There are fine networks of drying cracks in areas to the darker passages (including to the frame of the mirror, the chair and the right of the composition), there are two areas of associated pigment loss to the frame of the chair (one measuring approx. 0.7cm and one measuring approx. 4cm). There is evidence of mould in places throughout, the largest spores of which are evident on close inspection (the largest measuring approx. 0.3cm in diameter). This work has been examined under UV and no restoration appears.
