Minor frame abrasion with associated flecks of loss in one or two places on the lower edge. One or two probable losses to impasto tips, including in the purple brown pigment lower centre. Some specks of staining upper right. A layer of shiny varnish. Ultraviolet light reveals a small spot of retouching lower centre. Held in a gilt and painted wooden frame.
