Under UV inspection, retouching is visible around the extreme edges due to frame abrasion, and an old repair is visible at the upper right corner. A few scattered spots of retouching in other areas of shadow are visible, but largely absent from the faces and costumes. Overall the painting is in good condition and can hang in its present state.
