H. Roettgen, Il Cavalier Giuseppe Cesari d'Arpino. Un grande pittore nello splendore della fama e nell'incostanza della fortuna, Rome 2002, p. 537 (as Allegrini).

Flaminio Allegrini was paid for suppling paintings to the Palazzo Aldobrandini (Chigi) in Rome between 1625 and 1627, and many drawings by his hand are now in the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the National Galleries of Scotland. He may have trained with the Cavaliere d'Arpino, as his elongated figures bear the Cavaliere's influence.
