Of pierced geometric design, centering a square-cut emerald weighing 2.21 carats, flanked by two pear-shaped diamonds, set throughout with old-European diamonds and accented by baguette diamonds, signed J.E.C. & Co., numbered P889; circa 1925.
In good condition, with light wear to the mounting commensurate with wear and age. Tests as platinum. The emerald is medium slightly bluish green, slightly to moderately included. The pear-shaped diamonds, estimated to weigh a total of approximately 2.35 carats are approximately F-G color, VS clarity. The remaining diamonds, estimated to weigh a total of approximately 5.80 carats are approximately G-H color, primarily VS clarity, with a few SI clarity examples. Dimensions approximately 2⅜ x 1⅛ inches.Accompanied by Gübelin report no. 18092004 dated September 24, 2018 stating that the emerald is of Colombian origin, clarity enhancement: minor, type: traditional.
