Chaumet | Diamond Clip-Brooch, France

Designed as a flowerhead, centering an old mine-cut diamond, framed by old European and single-cut diamonds, the petals further set with numerous old European and single-cut diamonds, further embellished with gold accents, signed Chaumet, Paris, with French assay marks; circa 1933.

In good condition, the mounting with scattered superficial scratches and scuffs not visible to the naked eye. French assay marks for gold and platinum. The central old mine cut diamond weighing approximately 1.40 carats, estimated H-I color, VS clarity, with minor wear to the girdle edge. The additional diamonds weighing approximately 8.0-8.5 carats, F-I color, VS-SI clarity. Gross weight approximately 17 dwts. Dimensions approximately 1¾ x 1¾ inches. Please note this brooch dates to circa 1933 and was featured in the Museé Carnavalet’s 1998 exhibition of Chaumet jewels.
