charcoal and chalk on paper

unframed: 28 by 22cm.; 11 by 8¾in.

framed: 45 by 51.5cm.; 17¾ by 20¼in.

This drawing is no. 6 from the Parchment notebook, 1975

On laid paper (a deckle at right edge, the sheet edges slightly uneven in keeping with the Artist's materials), the sheet laid down to fine Japan paper with associated very slight undulation. The work appears to be in very good overall condition. Pale paper discoloration, darkest at sheet edges. One or two tiny fox marks, some light surface dirt and minor specks of matter to the sheet in places. The work is window mounted and presented in a wooden frame, held under glass.
