In her book on Les Peintres en Miniature, Nathalie Lemoine-Bouchard writes that Louis-Bertin Parant (Mers sur Indre, 1768-Paris, 1851) exhibited miniatures in the Salons from 1800 to 1851. He was also employed by Sèvres manufacture from 1806 to 1828 and from 1835 to 1841. He also painted portraits of Napoleon, Empress Joséphine, and King of Rome.

Nathalie Lemoine-Bouchard dans son ouvrage sur les Peintres en miniature précise que Louis-Bertin Parant (Mers-sur-Indre, 1768- Paris, 1851) figura aux Salons de 1800 à 1851. Il fut employé à la manufacture de Sèvres de 1806 à 1828 et de 1835 à 1841. Il développa une technique de petits portraits sur pierre. Il exécuta aussi les portraits de Napoléon, de l'Impératrice Joséphine et du Roi de Rome.
