This was the year when some stainless steel vats were introduced at Haut Brion, the first in Bordeaux. In 2014, a devilishly deep, aromatic nose, with notes of gravel and lead pencil. Great cherry and bilberry flavours on the palate. This is a huge, chewy, almost edible wine, doing honour to this incredible vintage. Serena Sutcliffe, MW WA 100
