Each a woodblock print, from an untitled series of One Hundred Poems by One Hundred Poets (Hyakunin isshu), signed Ichiyusai Toyokuni ga, Toshidama seal, published by Sanoya Kihei (Kikakudo), and comprising:

- The Poetess Daini no Sanmi, censor's seal Watari (Watanabe Shoemon), circa 1842-46

- The Poet Minamoto no Hitoshi, censor's seal Hama (Hama Yahei), circa 1843-46

Each vertical oban:

The first: 38 x 26 cm.

The second: 36.7 x 25.5 cm.

The second from the Estate of Lord Hesketh.
