Three woodblock prints

Edo period, 19th century 


Each a woodblock print, and comprisng: 

- Sukeroku, from the series A Mirror of Ancient and Modern Times (Kodai imayo kagami), signed Toyokuni ga within Toshidama cartouche, and Kunimaru ga, published by Ogawa Hansuke, 8th month 1860

- Chidorigake, from the series Harbingers of Spring; Portrait of Eight Famous People (Umegoyomi mitate hasshojin otokodate), signed konomi ni makasete Toyokuni ga, 1859

- The actor Nakamura Shikan IV in the role of Danshichi Kurobei, from the series Mirrors for Collage Pictures in the Modern Style (Imayo oshi-e kagami), signed Toyokuni ga, published by Fujiokaya Keijiro (Shorindo) in 1859

The first: 38.5 x 25 cm. 

The second: 37 x 25.2 cm. 

The third: 39 x 26 cm.
