"Le motif "tête trophée" ou buah rang jugah est reconnu comme l'un des motifs le plus prestigieux des pua kumbu. Ce textile est un exemple exceptionnel du genre. Il présente par ailleurs, une couleur de teinture profonde et une technique ikat aux lignes fines. Comme c'est le cas pour de nombreux motifs repertoriés, il n'est pas toujours aisé de reconnaître des têtes trophées dans un décor, il est néanmoins possible que le tissu était à l'origine conçu pour recevoir des têtes trophées. De plus, Traude Gavin a signalé la possibilité qu'un motif de crocodile particulièrement abstrait soit caché dans ce motif curviligne."

"The trophy head or buah rang jugah is recognised as the most prestigious pua kumbu pattern, this textile being an outstanding example of kind, with deep dye colour and fine-line ikat discipline. As is the case with many of the named motif patterns, it is not easy to see literal trophy heads in the design, but it is possible to imagine the cloth being used to receive trophy heads in former times. Traude Gavin has pointed out a possible highly abstracted crocodile motif to be found hidden in the curvilinear pattern."
